Located in Ghent Square at the Fred Heutte Garden, 1000 Botetourt Gardens, this garden produces a variety of herbs, perennials, and vegetables. Demonstrating and providing workshops in square foot gardening techniques, our produce is grown, harvested, and donated to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. NMGs host several public tours of this garden each year, with additional opportunities to answer questions from the public or work with schoolchildren in the garden. In 2021, the International Master Gardener Conference recognized this project with a Search for Excellence Award.
