The Norfolk Master Gardeners lead hands-on projects that educate our community about sustainable gardening, native plants, and environmental stewardship. Arbor Day Tree Adoption
Celebrate Arbor Day with us by giving a young tree a new home. This project promotes native tree planting across Norfolk to strengthen our urban canopy and support local ecosystems.
Butterfly House
Our volunteers care for live butterflies and teach visitors about pollinator life cycles, native host plants, and the importance of protecting these vital species.
Community Outreach
From neighborhood expos to local fairs, we bring gardening education directly to the community. Volunteers share resources, answer questions, and inspire residents to garden sustainably.
Crape Myrtle Pruning
Learn proper pruning techniques to keep one of Norfolk’s signature trees healthy and beautiful. Volunteers demonstrate best practices that prevent damage and encourage strong growth.
